The Landesakademie Ochsenhausen is an educational and meeting center for musical training and further education in Baden-Württemberg. The services offered include music seminars, courses, academy projects, music competitions, and concerts, most of which are conducted on site in Ochsenhausen. The website provides information and registration options for these services.

Service location: The events are held primarily on the premises of the Landesakademie in Ochsenhausen (Baden-Württemberg).

Explanations Regarding the Provision of the Service

Via the website www.landesakademie-ochsenhausen.de, users can view the event program, obtain information about the content and dates of courses, concerts, and projects, and register online. The academy caters to children, young people, music teachers, educators, orchestras, choirs, ensembles, and adults with an interest in music. In addition, the website provides information about accommodation, catering, lecturers, and organizational matters. No direct digital teaching or sale of materials takes place; the events themselves are conducted in person.

Compliance Status with the Requirements

The above-mentioned service is partially compliant with the Accessibility Strengthening Act (BFSG).

The following parts/contents/functions of the service are not accessible:

- Use of sliders and carousels with limited ARIA support
Some interactive content elements (e.g., sliders and carousels) are based on third-party components such as Slick Slider and older versions of Bootstrap Carousel. These components generate their HTML and ARIA role behavior independently, which means accessibility in parts does not fully meet the current requirements of EN 301 549. JavaScript adjustments have already been made in some places; a fully accessible implementation is planned for the future.

- Insufficient contrasts in certain content areas
Despite targeted improvements (e.g., adjusting the gray background on the homepage and the font color in the navigation), some text elements do not consistently meet the contrast requirements according to WCAG 2.1 (Success Criterion 1.4.3 – Contrast Minimum). In particular, in color-designed content areas (e.g., labels, colored headings, or surfaces), the combination of text and background color can lead to insufficient contrast. These designs are fixed by design and cannot currently be adjusted without fundamental redesign.

Non-Accessible Parts of the Service – Implementation Deadlines

We are working to make the issues listed above accessible in the near future. At this moment, we cannot provide an exact timeframe.
